blog:
some of the keys do not work on this computer so im sorry for the lack
of punctuation and hopefully i dont need to use numbers for anything
haha oh the ghetto life of antwerpen. but im soo happy and excited to
still be here. this was an amazing week and i expect nothing but
greatness from here on out. i loovee being trainer and i LOVE my new
comp. she is from utah but i think we are the same person. we are
having so much fun together and i love her greenie energy, weve seen
soo many miracles this week because of her excitment and our hardwork.
its been a crazy busy week but it feels very good to work this hard
and diligently. ive inherited a very lovely new wardrobe from her so
im super happy about that too :) i could go on about her forever, shes
just fantastic. shes already a friend for life, if we both never get
married well just travel the world together :)
soo much happened this week because of the big changes with transfers
that i dont even know where to begin. wed we were in the netherlands
to pick up our new comps and to have some training and that was so
much fun. i got to say goodbye to my trainer (she went home) and pick
up my trainee :) it was also sinter klaas here (netherlands holiday)
so i got to spoil my greenie with some of the typical treats. there
rest of the week is a blur of miracles. we have our baptismal date
back and have found new investigators in the coolest ways. during
training president mentioned something random about helping people
quit smoking and it stuck with me for some reason. so thurs we were
riding bikes and i saw a man and had the impression to pull over and
asked him if hed like to quit smoking.. i didnt really want to do it
because not too many people would want some girl calling them out on
their bad habits but i did it and the man was so shoked and so excited
it was unbelievable. my comp thought it was a joke because he was so
excited haha but we set up an appt to teach him how faith in christ
can help him overcome his addictions and to use the quit smoking
program we have here. everything this week just seem to work out
perfectly and we had fun doing it.
saturday we had our ward christmas party and it was soo awesome. our
ward mission leader turned out chapel into a cruise ship (it really
looked like it too) and we went on a cruise through all the different
cultures in our ward learning about their christmas celebrations and
eating food from all over the world. it was delicious to say the least
:) and there were six inactive members and two nonmembers there that
we really bonded with. i had a great talk with an inactive lady for
most of the night and she invited us over for the holidays, im really
excited about this and i know it will make her active husband very
excited as well :)
enjoy the holiday celebrations

this morning i had my first belgian snow fall! it was so beautiful and
i was really hoping to have snow to play in to take christmas pictures
but by 12 it started raining and now the snow is all gone :( maybe
tomorrow. but that is not my exciting news! i will be staying here in
antwerpen and becoming a trainer! its going to be a crazy transfer
but im excited :) i was actually surprised i was staying but im
excited to really impliment the ideas i have now and see what can
really be accomplished here.
theyre trying really hard to find us a new appt right now because no,
we still have no hot water and our sinks are still clogged.. oh the
joys :) they are hoping to get us out of here by the 15th but its
really hard to find places to rent here. so still have all mail sent
to the mission office for now! we did get to take 2 hot showers last
week though! we went to the mission home for a girls day of service
decorating the mission home and getting the christmas bags and cookies
ready for our christmas zone conference and we called president before
to ask if we could come early to shower. they of course were happy to
help and let us stay the night in the mission home because they were
driving out to belgium the next day. it was so wonderful to be able to
spend some extra time with president and sister robinson and enjoying
their amazing hot rain showers :)
other than that there is not too much to report from last week.. it
was a difficult one missionary work wise and we lost a couple of my
favorite investigators so that was not fun for me but it just means
that the greenie and i will have a fresh start and lots of work to do!
im excited to get the chance to get to know the ward even better and
im especially excited to be here the next 2 weekends for the ward
christmas party and the young adult christmas missionary day (were
going to sing carols and have an ask a mormon booth with wrapped joy
to the world dvds and other missionary cards in the university part of
town).
love you all and happy holidays!
